Pearl
Pearl
A Southern Gothic set in 1912 on the Monroe tobacco plantation, the play follows 19-year-old Pearl, who is haunted by the ghosts of her sister and a stranger. Both spirits are determined to help Pearl uncover the unspoken truths surrounding their deaths, secrets closely guarded by the women of the Monroe estate. As Pearl faces pressure from her abusive father to marry a neighboring landowner's son, she must race against time to unravel generations of family trauma and break the cycle of domestic abuse.
